Maths - Youtube playlist
In our DFI today we have been using Youtube to create playlists where we can collate resources for later use. There are few things about Youtube Playlists that I think are really useful for teachers. Firstly, that you can embed your playlist into your blog post really easily, just click on the share button under your playlist and select blogger, choose the blog you want it on and then add the information you want to add about your playlist, hit publish and you are done!
Secondly, the ability to collaborate on playlists! When I first started teaching, each term my team leader would make a CD with the songs we were going to be singing for assembly and burn a copy for each class, often the songs were similar from term to term, but we could get a new copy as new songs were added. With collaborative playlists, there would be no need to burn CDs, or to make a new copy each term, simply switch the order around, add any new songs, remove old ones and then you are ready to go with the ability to easily share these playlists on sites, or blogs for whānau to enjoy as well as using them at school.
